Rules of Balmichael

Keep our site ‘Green’

Arran has a fantastic sustainability drive, this is being spearheaded by a local organisation Arran Eco Savvy. We have participated in Carbon Literacy Training to ensure our carbon footprint is as low as it can be. That is why at Balmichael Glamping:

We are very keen to raise awareness of environmental impact and you'll find some notices and information on site asking you to assist us on our GREEN MISSION:

Parking at Balmichael Glamping

Our car park is on the left hand side as soon you turn of the main string road, you can walk through to the court yard to get checked in. Our accommodation is a short walk from the car park. To make life easier, once you have been checked in you can bring your car down to your accommodation to unpack your luggage. Please return the car to the car park once this is done. The same can be done on the day you are checking out. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests and animals please make sure you use the car park at all other times.

Dogs

One of our tents (Sannox) and one of our pods (the Bodega), are our designated dog friendly accommodation and we are delighted to welcome dogs to our site at Balmichael Glamping. There is an additional charge of £5 per dog per night and we would allow a maximum of two dogs within the Sannox tent, but the Bodega pod is really only suitable for one dog. Please contact us if you would like to discuss your dogs prior to booking.

We do ask that all dogs are kept on a lead within the site, due to the other animals that share the site as well as the surrounding livestock and ask that you bear this in mind when walking near the site. We have stakes and long ropes for your dog to borrow when you are relaxing outside. Dogs are required to have bedding provided and are not allowed on sofas or beds for hygienic purposes.

Evenings

We want everyone to have an enjoyable stay whilst here at Balmichael. This is a family site and we ask that people respect other customers, our neighbours and animals on and near our site by ensuring they are quiet by 11pm each night.

Play park

The play-park is there for your kids’ enjoyment. It is ideal for children under the age of 12 (although older kids are welcome to use it responsibly). We do ask that all children are supervised whilst using these facilities.

Duck Pond

We have a lovely duck pond to the north of our site. This is home to our resident ducks, Morecambe and Wise. The duck pond is fenced off for your safety, please do not venture over the fence. We kindly ask that you do not give them any extra feed as we don’t want them getting too fat.

Animals and Wildlife at Balmichael

We ask that you respect the animals and wildlife that also share the Balmichael Glamping site, by ensuring that you clean up after yourselves and keep the noise levels to a respectful level.

Feeding our animals

We kindly ask that you do not feed them any extra food during your stay. If you would like to help feed any of our animals, you are more than welcome to help feed them at our offered "meet and feed the animals" times. We will inform you of feeding times upon arrival.
